7 Characteristics of Successful Women

Throughout my life, I’ve been blessed to know some pretty spectacular women. These are the kinds of women who get things done. They focus on the task at hand and set out to accomplish it. These powerful women are role models; they ignore the naysayers and forge ahead, making their dreams come true while carving a path for themselves that’s all their own doing. If you’ve ever wanted to be like any of these individuals, dig deep and take stock of the traits and characteristics that make them the women I admire so much.

7 Characteristics of Successful Women

1. Confidence – Few things are as attractive as confidence. And successful women ooze of it. Not because they’ve made it. Not because they are living the life they want. But because they celebrate the characteristics that make them who they are, and embrace everything about them – flaws and all.

2. Compassion – Being a success comes with opportunity and access to great resources. Using this to help others, lift each other up, and unselfishly do good is a beautiful tenet of compassion, something that does so much good for the soul.

3. Drive – In the face of obstacles, naysayers, and unfavorable odds, women who are determined to succeed tap into the drive and purpose that led them on this path and don’t let anything take them off course, but rather adjust and forge ahead.

4. Determination – The simple mindset of being determined to reach your goals puts you in the right state of mind to accomplish them, as is the case with women who set out to succeed and actually attain it.

5. Focus – Instead of allowing themselves to be distracted by what else could happen or what else could go wrong, women of success focus on the goal and keep moving ahead. They keep their intentions and desires clear as they move along the path.

6. Courage – Following the path of your dreams is not an easy task. Women who succeed channel their courage and take a chance. Not knowing whether this will be a fruitful venture, they take a step ahead anyway and keep going in the direction of their passions.

7. Resilience – Finally, success doesn’t come without its failures and the women you see who have achieved their goals and accomplished what it is that they’d set out to do have a crucial characteristic – resilience. It means getting up every single time you fall, regardless of the disruption or magnitude of the failure, learning from the mistake, and continuing no matter what.
