I know the title sounds a little negative, but it’s important to recognize when you’re failing at life so that you can hit the breaks and alter your destiny.
7 Sure Signs You’re Failing at Life
You can’t discipline yourself.
If you’re one of those people who procrastinate continually, you are failing at life. Many steps need to be completed to achieve your goals – how will you ever tick them off if you can’t discipline yourself to get things done now rather than never? My pet peeve is people talking about their dreams or the things that they want in life, and never taking any action.
You don’t set goals.
A life without goals or dreams, in my opinion, is a life wasted. Do you truly want to leave this world without achieving anything? A mundane life is spiritual suicide.
You can’t manage your money.
We’ve all been broke at a certain point (or few) in our lives, but the experience should have taught you the importance of being able to budget. If you are regularly unable to pay your bills at the end of the month because you spend more than you earn, or spend frivolously, you need to work out a budget urgently and stick to it.
You put too much emphasis on what others think.
If you’re always trying to please others and be everybody’s friend, you will get chewed up and spat out. Awaken your inner warrior.
You live to play the blame game.
No one, nor the world, owes you a living. Adulting requires you to possess the art of taking responsibility for your actions. If you can’t own your mistakes, you aren’t self-aware, and the big bad business world will eat you alive. Blaming others for your shortcomings just isn’t an attractive quality.
Invest in the right relationships.
Quality relationships are the key to happiness. Though your career may excel if you spend all of your time working, your personal life will be a hollow void.
You don’t believe in yourself.
If you believe something isn’t going to work, you put in minimal effort. The same applies to people who lack self-belief.
