Last night we watched Miss California Alyssa Campanella receive her crown for Miss USA 2011 at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Alyssa will be representing the US at this year’s Miss Universe pageant in September in Brazil. The newly crowned beauty beat out Ms. Tennessee who was the first runner up while Alabama and Texas won third and fourth place. When judge asked Campanella the question regarding legalizing marijuana she said ” I understand why that question would be asked, especially with today’s economy, but I also understand that medical marijuana is very important to help those who need it medically,” I think Alyssa’s answer was very diplomatic and well received. Congratulations Alyssa! We look forward to seeing you at the Miss Universe Pageant in September.
