If you’re an aspiring writer, getting the right word or phrase down can be tough. That’s why writers often have help. Sometimes, a writer just needs a good editor or sometimes they need a helpful app. Yup, there’s literally an app for everything, including some to assist writers finish that poem or novel. Check out some apps to bring out the wordsmith in you.
Poetreat- This app is for the romantic poet. When you’re struggling with a rhyme, turn to this app. Stuck on a word or phrase? Poetreat will offer you a ton of words to help you finish up that poem. You can even post it to Facebook or Twitter once you’re done.
Dragon Diction- Sometimes it’s easier to read your thoughts out loud rather than pound them out on a keyboard. When you’ve got an idea in your head that needs to be saved quickly, this is the app you turn to. Dragon Diction has been my salvation too many times to count.
Story Tracker- Story Tracker does exactly what the name says, it tracks your submitted stories, articles, novels etc. while keeping up on due dates, and responses. If you’re a freelance writer, this app is especially helpful because it keeps track of practically everything. When you have a lot of stories going out, it pays to be organized.
The Brainstormer- Ever get stuck? Writer’s block is all too real, but there’s an app to help you get through it. Brainstormer helps by giving you fun ideas and prompts to try out in order to get those creative juices flowing.
WordBook- $2.99 will get you this dictionary and thesaurus combo for your phone or computer. It’s got a built in spell-checker and etymological information, along with other helpful capabilities. So much in one app for so little? Sign me up.
