Did you know that Earth Day is just around the corner? Annually, on April 22 citizens around the world come together for a common cause: protecting our mother earth. “In 1970, the year of our first Earth Day, the movement gave voice to an emerging consciousness, channeling human energy toward environmental issues. Forty-six years later, we continue to lead with groundbreaking ideas and by the power of our example.” (via earthday.org) It’s a pretty incredible day, when you think about it. People forget barriers and differing opinions for a single day to make strides in celebrating our planet. From planting trees to picking up garbage, the smallest effort can garner a big return. If you’re thinking of celebrating Earth Day this year, but you just aren’t sure how, here are a few ideas to help you honor our most important asset – the planet.
