I know that I am a people pleaser. To some extent most of us are, aren’t we? Making the people around me feel like they matter is super important. I feel a sense of satisfaction and relief when I know that everyone is getting what they need. It’s probably just the mom in me; I’m not sure. In moderation, working to keep your family, friends and coworkers happy is a good thing. When your people pleasing starts to tip the scales, it’s easy to lose your sense of self. Are you a people pleaser?
If you feel like you have become wrapped up in working to keep everyone but yourself happy, your people pleasing has probably gone too far. It’s time to get yourself back! You can do it and you can still be sure everyone is happy. It’s all about balance! Finding the right balance between your own needs and everyone else’s can be tough – but it’s the key living your own life and meeting your own goals too!
