Men tend to be more logical and practical, while women tend
to be a little more emotional. And though most people think being emotional is
a downfall when it comes to business, I believe there’s an upside.
For the most part, women are guided by feelings. We make
decisions based on how it makes us feel. If a decision makes us feel sick to
our stomach, we’ll most likely second-guess it and look for another solution.
Intuition is what makes women so valuable to the workforce—and to the world, in
general. For years, we have known women are innately intuitive. It’s absolutely
in us. Yet some of us still have a hard time sticking to a decision.
So how can we feel good about our decisions? First off, you
must respect your reasons for action. There was something that obviously
brought you to that point, even if you can’t always explain it. Secondly, try
to imagine what you would feel like if you chose another path. If I’m in
between two choices, I always try to put myself in both situations and then pay
attention to how each make me feel.
Trusting yourself is a very important component to becoming
a successful person. No one wants to follow someone who changes their mind
often. People respect others who make a decision and then follow through with
it even if others criticize the choice. Believe in yourself and others are
absolutely going to follow.
