Wow. I have been completely humbled by the heart filled photo that’s gone viral on Facebook – Jesse Cottle and his wife Kelly pose for a photo while she is carrying him on her back. Jesse is a former US Marine who lost his legs in Afghanistan when an IED exploded in 2009.
The sweet photo was taken while they were visiting family in Idaho. The photographer, Sarah Ledford, took some family shots and couples shots and Jesse hopped on Kelly’s back for a photo in the water. Ledford later posted the shot to Facebook, where it immediately went viral.
The couple has been completely overwhelmed by the heartfelt messages and support they have received from folks around the world. ‘I’m glad that we can have that impact, but you don’t expect it,’ said Jesse.
