Celebrating Women’s Equality Day

Did you know that today,  August 26th is Women’s Equality Day?  What a beautiful holiday! From a White House proclamation to individual celebrations around the world, this annual day actually commemorates the passage of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution on August 26, 1920, granting women the right to vote. Even though the origins of this holiday come from celebrating those significant changes to the U.S. Constitution, Women’s Equality Day has grown to mean so much more. No matter what part of the globe you’re from, you can celebrate this day for the accomplishments of all women and the simple fact that we have come so far in the fight for gender equality.
