For most dads, getting showered with gifts doesn’t compare to the quality time they get to spend with their families on Father’s Day. That time means more than anything. From firing up the grill, to packing up all the kiddos and hitting the beach, finding the perfect Father’s Day date ideas is easier than you think. By spending a little time thinking about dads favorite things (football anyone??) to planning a menu he’ll love, here a few Father’s Day Date ideas that will leave him wishing it was HIS day every day.
- Plan a day at the park with a few other families. Bring a football to organize a quick pickup game and fire up the grill with all the traditional summer foods: hamburgers, hot dogs and potato salad. Romantic, but still tons of fun, the outdoorsy dads will love this.
- Rent a boat for the day and hit up a local lake or bay. Throw all the kiddos and everyone’s bathing suits in the car for a fun day on the water. Dad will love this, especially if he gets to drive the boat.
- Rainy Father’s Day this year? How about bowling? Dad will be able to show off his skills, while the whole family has a great time on this Father’s Day date.
- How about hitting up the local amusement park? There’s a whole bunch of dads out there who can think of nothing more fun than a romantic ride around the Ferris wheel with his favorite lady.
- Let dad relax on the patio while you mix him up his favorite G&T and shower him with back rubs and his favorite appetizers. (as a bonus – hire a landscaping crew to mow the lawn!)
- Got a baseball loving dad? Grab some tickets to the local minors and take him out to the ballgame! Beer and peanuts on you!
- How about a day of sightseeing? Boston, New York, Chicago, San Francisco….take dad to see all the sights on a walking tour of your favorite city.
- How about taking dad to learn a little bit about how his favorite beer is made? Cruise over to your local brewery for a tour and tasting.
- Bust the bikes out of storage and get the whole family riding. Dad will love cruising around town with his whole brood in tow. End the trip with ice cream!
- Put the kiddos to bed early and snuggle up with his favorite bottle of wine. This one is a win for sure!
How about you? Got any great Father’s Day date ideas to share?
