I adore playing hostess. Our friends stay with us whenever they need to in Miami Beach, we have made so many memories in our NYC apartment over the last few years and I can only imagine what’s to come at the bungalow in the Bahamas. Family is my number one priority and the holidays are truly the best opportunity to bring people together and celebrate life and all the blessings in it. There is nothing I enjoy more than walking into my home and having my living room filled with everyone closest to me, laughing and talking, eating and relaxing. They are my angels.
If you’re having trouble thinking of how to bring people together over the next few weeks, I can help. Sometimes you have to be flexible with your time if everyone you love doesn’t necessarily love each other. And if it’s traveling that’s an issue, set up a Skype account or Face Time on your iPhone or iPad so that you can have conversations as close to “in person” as possible.
The point of this post was to remind you to slow down and take in the end of 2012 with those who mean the most to you. Yes, it’s gift giving season, it’s travel season and it’s rushing around finishing up deadlines season. But above all it’s family season and it’s important to remember how to bring people together this time of year.
How do you bring people together during the holidays?
