How To Deal With A Job Loss
  • Network! Network! Network! Reach out to friends and family, attend a couple of happy-hour networking events, browse through social networks and don’t be afraid to ask around for any possible opportunities.
  • Post your resume on LinkedIn: LinkedIn is one of the best tools for employers and employees. I found so many talented employers for our company Market America through LinkedIn. Put yourself out, network with others within your related fields and follow up.
  • Freelance: It might take some time to get that job you’re looking for so in the meantime freelance. There’s so many great opportunities as a freelancer, whether is blogging for others, helping a friend walk the dogs, becoming a part-time tutor or social media writer. The possibilities are endless.
  • Be persistent: Don’t just wait for the job to come to you; you have to make it happen. Follow up, check with others, and put yourself out there. If you don’t ask, you won’t know.
  • Staying busy will keep you motivated: Keep your same daily schedule and don’t get lazy. Being disciplined and staying positive is part of the process.
