Tech-free vacations and – lets face it – evenings at home are a rare and special thing. Even though we’re tempted to turn off the phone, we are so used to being in the know about absolutely everything (it’s impossible not to be with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) that it’s normal to suffer from a fear of missing out.
It’s important to remember that while you might be oblivious to what’s going on in the world for a couple of days, taking a technology-free vacation gives you the chance to make memories in your own world. We all need and deserve a little time to ourselves or with our family to recharge, blissfully uninterrupted.
How to Enjoy A Vacation (Without Technology)
- Leave the phone in your hotel room
- If you’re going on an excursion and feel safer with the phone, keep it turned off in your bag
- Planning on using your phone as a camera during the trip? Keep it on airplane mode!
When was the last time YOU enjoyed a technology free vacation? Ever? 5 years ago? Last weekend? Let me know in the comments!
