How to Let Go of Fear

Fear is the only thing standing between you and your dreams.
Seriously. If you think of your dreams and then listen to all the excuses you
make in your head, I bet you they are all fear-based. Fear of failure. Fear of
trying. Fear of changing.

Since we’re here to make a difference in the world, we first
have to overcome our biggest enemy: fear. Here are a few tips to help you jump
that hurdle and into your dream life!

Acknowledge

The first step to getting over this roadblock is to acknowledge
that something is actually holding you back. Our bodies are usually our first
indicators.

Observe

After you’re honest with yourself about the fear that is
standing in your way, observe it. How does it make you feel? When does it
usually sneak in? What does it look like?

Confront

Confront those fearful thoughts. Repackage the thought into
a more positive statement. For example: “I’ll never find the money to start my
company.” “Finding the money to start my company will be challenging, but I’ll
just have to do some extra research.” Be proactive. Don’t let the fear win.

Download

After you’ve realized what the issues are, you must begin to
download new beliefs. The fearful chatter is just negative beliefs you’ve acquired
through time. For every negative belief replace it with the opposite belief.
For example: “I don’t feel supportive.” “I am completely supportive and safe.
The universe has my back.”

Practice

The fear won’t go away over night, so make sure to practice
these steps as much as possible. And don’t forget to believe the fear will go
away. Repeat it over and over again.
