According to CBS News, CBS correspondent Lara Logan, the victim of an alleged sexual assault in Egypt, is now recovering and planning to be back at work within weeks. Logan 39, was the victim of a “brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating” by a mob in Cairo’s Tahrir Square last Friday while covering downfall of president Hosni Mubarak, before being rescued by a group of women and Egyptian soldiers, CBS said in a statement.
Lara, was flown back to the US the next day and is now recuperating with her family, entertainment website TMZ.com reported.
The website said Logan was determined to get back to work, with friends saying she was “unbelievably strong” and would not let the attack destroy her.
My prayers are with you Lara. You are strong, smart and beautiful woman and admire your courage and passion for journalism.
