Did any of you happen to catch wind of the news from Facebook town? Well, Facebook is becoming just that – a town. Known as one of the greatest campuses’ to be employed – they already take care of employee laundry, you can get your hair trimmed on site and daily meals are included in the benefits! It was recently reported that employee housing is being added to the mix.
Live Where You Work? Facebook Town Anton Menlo Is In Development
According to the Wall Street Journal, the locale is strictly Facebook-focused but Forbes says otherwise. The development doesn’t actually belong to the social network, and the $120 million, 394-unit housing community within walking distance of Facebook offices will still be open to the public, just offered to employees first. Called Anton Menlo, the 630,000 square-foot rental property will include everything from a sports bar to a doggy day care.
Much like many of the Silicon Valley based tech groups – employees are lured by the incredible perks that come with working for some of these multi-billion dollar companies. Anton Menlo takes company perks to a whole new level, by giving employees the chance to live right around the corner from the office – in a town built from scratch.
