Motivational Tools for Procrastinators

I want to share some great motivational tools for procrastinators.  Procrastination is a very hard cycle to break out of.  You don’t want to spend your entire summer overcoming procrastination – stop it before it starts!  We all have work to do, errands to run and a home to maintain.  Putting off your to-do list until the next day, which turns into next week or next month, only increases your work load and detains the inevitable.  Get busy!  The sooner you start, the sooner you will finish.  Don’t make the situation harder on yourself by mismanaging your time and cramming everything you need to do into a short period.  There is no need for added pressure when you can pace yourself and get everything you need done without stress.

  • Reward yourself for hitting your goals
  • Remind yourself of the consequences if you don’t
  • Get an accountability partner or procrastination buddy!
  • Start a routine that incorporates your to-do list and stick to it
  • Disconnect from distractions when overcoming procrastination
