As Oprah’s final episode and farewell approaches businessinsder.com reports that advertisers are coughing up $1million bucks for a 30 second spot in the award winning daytime talk show. With the anticipation of millions of consumers tuning in to see what it’s allegedly Oprah’s last day as talk show how and guaranteed record number of viewers advertisers are doing whatever it takes to run a 30 second spot for the historic closing.
This would place the Oprah Winfrey show finale among some the most expensive within the last 20 years. Other top rated finales include NBC’s Friends back in 2004 which sold ads for $2 million spots and Seinfeld back in 2005 were ads went for $1.42 million.
