Put Yourself First: Here’s What You Can Do
Get Clear on What You Want- Get clear on your goals and dreams. We all have something that deep down we want to accomplish. Think about the dreams that better you for you! Maybe you want to work on that business to buy yourself a home, or maybe you want to publish a book. Keep those dreams in mind. Write all these out and be specific about it. Keep it somewhere you can see your goals. When you have your own goals, you don’t have time to focus on what others are doing.
Make Time for Yourself- Stop living other people’s dreams. It’s time to get out of your comfort zone and do some things on your own. Do actives on your own, go travel on your own, try things you could have never imagined doing by yourself and see where life takes you.
Say No- Start learning how to say no. If you were that friend who overextended themselves for everyone else’s benefit other than your own, it’s time to learn to stop and focus on what you want. Think of it as saying “no” to things you don’t want to do, and doing the things you do want to do. Maybe you got invited to a workout class that requires a lot of weight training when you’d rather do yoga. Say no to the class and do your yoga!
