#1. They show no interest in you or your day, and they consistently forget dates they should know are important to you. If the relationship feels one-sided, it probably is.
#2. If you had to force the words out of them, they might have just been saying what you wanted to hear.
#3. If you said it first, they might have felt obligated to say it back, or they possibly reacted with an automatic response without thinking their feelings through.
#4. If you haven’t met any of their friends or family, there could be a million reasons why – or they do not include you in their life because they have no real intention to keep you in it.
#5. Friends and partners who sincerely love you will support you. If they know something is important to you, they will show an interest in your progress and cheer you on.
#6. If they put everything and everyone else before you, they potentially aren’t being honest with you. Life throws all of us hurdles that require our attention from time to time, but someone who truly loves you will not consistently make you feel like you’re their last priority.
