Small Ways To Make A Bad Day Better

They say it’s about the “little things.” It’s true that little things make all the difference, especially when you’re having a bad day. It could be all those little things that made your day bad in the first place. You didn’t hear your alarm go off, you didn’t catch the right train to work, and now your stuck having to get a lecture from your boss. Yet, at the same time, it’s the little things that can help boost your moral and turn that bad day into a good one. Here are some small things that you can do to boost your mood and make your bad day just a little bit better.

Slip On Headphones- If you’re at work or in a public place, then slip on those headphones and play the most upbeat song you know. Bob your head and let the good times roll. You could also watch live performances on YouTube of that song you love. Watching people having a passion for what they do can make you feel all the more hopeful.

Change Something- Sometimes all we need to boost our mood and to make ourselves feel better is a change. Now, I’m not saying that you should call your hairdresser and search for a new hair color right now. I’m talking about some small changes. Maybe it could be reorganizing your closet, or just painting your nails a different color. Doing something small to help change for the better is sometimes all we need.

Fix Yourself Up- When I’ve had a rough day, one of my favorite things to do to make it better is a nice shower. A hop in the tub and some delicious smelling soap is all I need to clear the day away. Then, I prep myself for the next morning where I’ll be going for a more glammed up look. Just the idea of fixing myself up for the next day makes me feel so much better.
