As we are in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season this week, I’m appealing to everyone to give some special Thanksgiving giving. Please spare a thought for many families in Puerto Rico this week who still have no power, clean water or any means to keep food fresh.
With so many businesses destroyed or shut down, many people have absolutely no source of income. I can only imagine the devastation and stress this is causing, especially when you remember that the holiday season is beginning and many families will have little ones hoping for gifts and a traditional Thanksgiving meal.
Thanksgiving Giving: Puerto Rico Needs Us
Some shopping malls are open simply to give people a place to go – despite the majority of shops still being closed. There isn’t much stock to buy and very few people with a job or money to buy anything.
