Mix in frigid temps and a little case of the winter blues can easily set in. Sometimes during the colder months you feel like your energy is low and it’s tough to get motivated. With a little inspiration, you can find ways to beat the winter blahs.
The Best Ways to Beat the Winter Blahs
- Get out in the sun. I know this one is easier said than done on those cold days, but a vitamin D goes a long way. Take a brisk walk at lunch every couple of days, you’ll feel amazing.
- Drink in moderation. You probably hear that all the time, but especially during the dark and depressing winter months. A glass of wine here and there is perfect.
- Exercise. As tough as it is to motivate, a little exercise goes a long way to making you feel totally energized.
- Catch up on you time. Winter is the perfect time to relax indoors and read a book or even go for a nice weekend nap.
- Healthy choices. With the cold winter months come cravings for heavy, warming food. Fight of the cravings and stick to healthy choices. You’ll feel lighter on your feet and energized.
