Don’t tell me you haven’t noticed… people are photographing food more and more. Restaurant meals to homemade, taking shots of food has simply become part of our digital culture. Instagram is a haven of foodie pics and while it’s fun to flip through your friend’s eating adventures, it can get to be a bit much sometimes. But what if those photos was going towards a good cause?
A new app called FoodShareFilter has recently hit the app scene – and it does just that.
The Foodie Photo App for A Good Cause
FoodShareFilter was created to raise money for an El Salvadoran agricultural charity run by Manos Unidas, which promotes development in third-world countries. The app is $1.16 on Google Play and $0.99 in the App Store and all of those funds are donated to this great cause.
Every time a user snaps a food shot and adds the hashtag #FoodShareFilter on Instagram, it adds this message: “This picture helps millions of people not to suffer hunger.” So you’re not only posting cool food pics, you’re raising awareness while you’re at it! The app is available in Spanish and English.
