History will be marked today as Oprah Winfrey says goodbye to her viewers through the platform of her nationally syndicated talk show. For twenty -five years, Oprah has taken us on a journey of self discovery, self enlightenment, community service, helped us to understand the bigger picture of life, and guided us into greater appreciation of the “AHA”moment.
Her famous line, “be present, live in the now” has made us all realize the what we have and all that matters is the now. She has educated through allowing intimidate access as she struggled with and overcame profound issues within her own life. Her transparency comforted her viewers in knowing that they were not alone and that through the show and other outlets, they would defeat their giants together.
I have been touched by her human compassion and her passion to globally empower people. Through her courage she has given others courage. She is a living example that what you speak out of your mouth, you become. Although this is an end to the show, the wisdom she has deposited in the lives of millions will continue to live through generations. Oprah, thank you for giving so much of yourself to help us discover and define who we are. Your gift is priceless and will forever leave an imprint on this world. I salute you.
