Standing up for what you believe in is one of the most important skills you’ll need in life.There’s always going to be that someone that will try to know you down, “haters” as many of us like to call it, “the skeptics” who at the end of the day don’t believe in themselves.
When I first started to develop my line of Motives cosmetics, there were many who didn’t believe in me they thought I was crazy, but I believed in me and I knew we can make a successful brand.I remembered being in the boardroom with our management team discussing the line and I wanted to order a high quantity of nail polish while discussing the line.Most of them thought I was crazy they didn’t think it would sell, but I did and I stood up for what I believed in!Today Motives Cosmetics is our second top selling brand, won people’s magazine “star quality” product award and our nail candy polish well let’s just say it sold out in 3 weeks.
Remember that what you stand for makes for who you are and who you have yet to become. If you don’t stand up for what you believe in, who will?
