Did you know that women are more active on social media? I was reading through Nielsen’s State of the Media: The Social Media Report and it states that women are 8% more likely than men to create or update their own personal blog. Nielsen’s women social media statistics don’t surprise me at all! We like to engage with one another. We are social by nature. We love to talk about our passions, follow different types of brands as well as our favorite celebrities, all via social media. According to Nielsen, women are also more likely to buy a product that they have seen on the Internet. I tend to agree. Shopping online is a huge part of my life! When I read about a new product or read reviews about an existing product, I am more apt to make an online purchase.
