Fat Joe and the Power of Moving Up
Fat Joe has been part of my family for over a decade. When he learned that there were only two black and latino UnFranchise owners back at that time in Market America, he worked his way up to become our President of Urban and Latino Development.
Fat Joe gave an aptly titled ”All the Way Up” speech at the Market America Convention 2017. For those of you that don’t know, ”All the Way Up” is the title of a song Fat Joe released in 2016 featuring French Montana, Remy Ma and Infared. The song peaked at number 27 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Fat Joe spoke about how the world is structured around systems that benefit corporations, not people. He went on to point out that our business model is the only system he knows that works – regardless of your social status.
