Finally! After years of waiting, Microsoft officially launched it’s line of Office apps for the iPad this morning in San Francisco. The Microsoft Office suite for iPad will be free in read-only mode however if you want to create and edit files, it will cost you $100 a year for Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Lync, OneDrive, OneDrive for Business and an OWA app for email on your tablet. The company’s new CEO Satya Nadella also announced plans for the software to run on all devices in the near future, including Google Android tablets.
Some are saying Microsoft waited to long and now consumers have gotten used to using tablets without this crucial feature but I still think it’s a game changer! What about you – are you excited about Microsoft Office for iPad?
