Alejandro Sanz Takes a Stand Against Violence

Alejandro Sanz Takes a Stand Against Violence

Alejandro Sanz is one of our best friends and my hero. While performing for thousands and thousands of people in Tijuana he saw a man raise his hand to a woman in the audience and immediately sprung into action. The Grammy winner stopped the show and went down to the floor to personally intervene and insist the man be removed. You’ve gotta love a man with so much honor and character. You either stand for something or you will fall for anything.

“It was a tense situation but Ale stood tall like a true hero to protect someone in need. After the situation calmed down a bit Ale spoke to the crowd to explain what happened and apologize to the concert-goers: “I want to apologize for what just happened, but I just can’t stand anyone touching anyone, let alone a woman. You don’t hit women.” As always Ale is a knight in shining armor, and did the right thing by stopping the show and addressing the issue immediately.

For anyone who knows Ale, it’s no surprise that he acted this way on the behalf of someone else – and I’m thrilled to see that videos of the event are now going viral on YouTube and Social Media. I’m so proud to call Ale a friend and hope his chivalrous actions will help create more awareness about domestic violence and violence against women.”

Watch Alejandro Sanz stop the show to get this man thrown out of the concert when he sees him raise his hand to a woman in the audience. Love him. I only pick the best people to be my friends. JR and I are so proud of you, Ale. You are a hero to us and to so many.
