Today marks an end of an era. Bill Cosby has been found guilty of all three counts of sexual assault for drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in a Philadelphia suburb in 2004.

The 80-year-old comedian faces up to 10 years in prison for each account.
Some would argue that Cosby’s accusers were the true start of the #MeToo movement, making this the first significant conviction since the beginning of the #MeToo age. For decades Cosby used his moral father TV persona to get away with these assaults and finally these women get to see justice served.
Some of Cosby’s accusers left the courtroom in tears. Just watching this, I can see the relief after finally getting a conviction.

Today is definitely a monumental day for women in this country.
“We are so happy that finally we can say: women are believed and not only on #MeToo, but in a court of law.”
