Today officially marks the 16th anniversary of 9/11. The September 11 attacks (also referred to as 9/11) were a series of four attacks committed by Muslim extremists against the United States on September 11, 2001 in the areas of New York City and Washington, D.C. It was one of the first attacks in the United States in recent history. Now, we remember those victims affected by the September 11th attacks. We remember the victims and their loved ones, along with the responders who died that day. Today is a time of remembrance and reflection. Take a moments of silence for those who died in the attacks before reading on.
