Who doesn’t love Trader Joe’s? From their killer wine selection to those delicious pre-made salads, no one can deny that they offer quality products at low prices. It seems like no one can compete with them—until now. Lidl, one of Europe’s biggest discount grocery chain is coming to the US. Want to know how big this company is over in Europe? Let’s just say that Walmart couldn’t even compete.
Europe’s Trader Joe’s is Coming to the US
If you love everything that Trader Joe’s has to offer, then trust me, you’re going to love Lidl. The European grocer plans to open 500 stores around the country, starting with 100 in the East Coast.
So, what can you expect from Lidl? This company is known for their rock bottom prices on high-end products. At the same time, they’ll be bringing over new products from Europe that you can’t get anywhere else.
According to Business Insider, you can expect to see stores popping up in mid-2018 with the first 20 stores opening in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Will Lidl be everyone’s next super market obsession? Only time will tell! For now, they’ve got some tough completion in the American market.
