Kate Spade New York is doing something incredible in honor of the brand’s late co-founder. Her suicide was shocking to myself and the rest of the fashion world seemingly out of nowhere. The unfortunate news is that it’s often the case with suicide. No one sees it coming, and no one expects it, leaving those left behind broken hearted, which is why the brand is doing something about it.

After Spade’s death, stores all over the world put up posters on their windows commemorating the designer. Now, they’re taking it a step further by donating $1 million to suicide prevention. On top of that, they plan on matching your donations as well.
