Knife Found on Former OJ Simpson Estate

According to several news reports, a knife has been found on the property of OJ Simpson’s former estate. Los Angeles police have said they are now conducting tests on a knife that was turned over to them last month by a retired police officer. LAPD spokesman Andrew Neiman says the retired police officer who turned in the knife said he obtained it from someone who had been working on a construction site at the property of OJ Simpson’s former estate. The knife will be tested for DNA evidence.

Simpson’s ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman were found dead of multiple stab wounds to the head and neck 21 years ago. Though OJ Simpson went to trial, he was acquitted. The knife in question was never found. Because Simpson was acquitted for the two murders in 1995, he cannot be prosecuted again for the same crimes.
