This time seventeen years ago, the September 11 attacks (also referred to as 9/11) changed the world with a series of four attacks committed by Muslim extremists against the United States in New York City and Washington, D.C. It was one of the first attacks in the United States in recent history and a truly horrendous one. Today, we remember the victims and their loved ones, along with the responders who died that day. Today is a time of remembrance and reflection. Please take a moment of silence with me to remember all those who died in the attacks, and send love and healing thoughts to the thousands of loved ones they left behind.
