I have to offer big congratulations to my girl La La for being recognized by Residence Inn by Marriott to receive the Resident Mom Award for 2016. I know what a great friend, wife, and mom La La is but it’s wonderful to see her recognized publicly in the company of other wonderful moms honored by the Red Cross New York and Residence Inn. La La has had an impressive career trajectory, from radio and television personality, to actress and beauty entrepreneur, and best-selling author and producer. Her most important roles, however, remain closer to home as a mom to son Kiyan and wife to husband Carmelo.

As a pre-Mother’s Day kick-off, La La, in partnership with Residence Inn, teamed up with American Red Cross of Greater New York to host deserving moms for an intimate, inspiring lunch. Located at a spacious penthouse suite at Residence Inn New York / Manhattan Midtown East, attendees included mom volunteers and moms who have needed the organization’s support this past year. In addition to mingling amongst each other and lunching with La La, the moms got glammed up with GLAMSQUAD mini make-overs using MOTIVES for La La beauty products.
