4 Steps to Make Running A Daily Habit

  1. Establish a plan. Just like any other habit, knowing what and when to expect something will help make your new running routine predictable.
  2. Track your progress. If you’re taking on running – track your mileage or time with a fun app – seeing your own progress will feel so good!
  3. Don’t be afraid to reward yourself! Having a reward means you have something to look forward to at the end of a tough run or workout. You’ll start to associate exercise with the reward – whether it’s a hot shower, a smoothie or even a delicious cappuccino – treat yourself for your hard work!
  4. Get the routine down. By keeping things regular, your body and mind will begin to crave the routine. Try exercising at the same time each day or having a particular snack before you head out for a run.

Have you recently started running? How have you motivated yourself to get into a routine?
