Getting into a new relationship can be so fun and exciting that you want to spend every moment together. And more often than not, spending all that time together can send your healthy resolutions flying! When you’re falling in love and you want to stay healthy (but still stay together!), here are a few tips for how to avoid gaining weight while in a relationship.
5 Ways to Avoid Gaining Weight in A Relationship
- Be aware of what you’re eating. Just because your new guy can pile away three or four slices of pizza doesn’t mean you can too! Keep in mind that those extra calories = extra pounds. Keep your portion size appropriate for you.
- Try cooking together rather than going out or chilling with take-out. Find healthy recipes to try and make healthy living a part of your relationship.
- Keep your daily exercise going. Reward yourself with all that snuggly couch and tv time by making sure you stick to your exercise routines.
- Be active together! Get outside and go for walks, bike rides, take dance classes or even hit the yoga studio together. (trust me, exercising together is totally romantic!)
- Only eat when you’re actually hungry. Just because your new partner is snacking doesn’t mean you need snacks too. Everyone’s metabolism is different.
