Summer is finally here (hooray!!) and you know what that means? It’s time to get outside and enjoy the fabulous weather, but it’s also time to make summer skin protection a priority. Your skin is your biggest organ and it’s super important – so why not keep it healthy? Take a look at these tips for protecting your skin in summer and then get outside and enjoy it!

6 Rules You Should Follow for Summer Skin Protection

  1. Use sunscreen every day. In summer, why not simply switch it up and make your daily moisturizer something with sun protection? Choose a broad spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15.
  2. Get a gorgeous sun hat. Make a hat your best friend this summer – especially one with a wide brim.
  3. Look for clothing with UV protection. It’s great if you can throw on a t-shirt forsummer skin protection, but tightly woven fabrics with UV protection are even better.
  4. Wear sunglasses. Those UV rays can be tough and even your eyelids can burn!
  5. Skip the tanning. I know this one is so tough to resist – but skip the tanning bed and all-day layouts. Try a sunless tanner or spray tan to boost your summer glow.
  6. Drink tons of water to keep skin hydrated.
