Beat The Heat With These Makeup Fixes

The Internet is full of beauty “hacks”, and I’m always ready to check them out. One of the reasons I love makeup so much is because there are so many innovative new products and techniques coming out all the time. It’s new information and it’s my job to read up on them. That’s why these hacks are so great and fun to try out. Since it’s spring and summertime is just around the corner, you’re probably wondering how you’re going to keep your makeup in place as the sun is beating down on you. Well, don’t worry, that’s why I’m here! Here are the best beat-the-heat hacks that I personally swear by.

Carry A Oil Blotter Instead Of Powder- Powder is great for when you’ve just applied foundation and need to keep that shine from coming through, but too much powder to salvage your sweaty face once you’re out on the town is a makeup no-no. That’s why an oil blotter is your best bet. They’re small enough to keep in your purse and save you from a shiny face without giving you that cake-face that powder does.

Suffer From Oily Skin?- If you have oily skin, and the summer sun just tends to add on to that oiliness, try using milk of magnesia as a primer instead of regular primer. This stuff is the milk of miracles for when you want a fresh matte finish.

Crème Blush Over Powder- A crème blush tends to stick on the skin better than a powder one, so quit using your powder blush for the season. Check out this crème blush by Butter.

Water Proof Your Makeup- Pick up a finishing spray, or a waterproof mascara if you know your makeup is prone to melting off your face during the summer months. This will help you keep that dewy makeup look fresh all day.
