Blue Light: Is Your Phone Aging Your Face?

blue light

Scientists are becoming increasingly concerned about the effects of the blue light transmitted from digital devices, including smartphones and computers. Recent studies also suggest that blue light increases stressors in the skin resulting in inflammation, color changes, and weakening of the skin’s surface. In other words, your gadgets are causing photo-aging and damage to your eyes. Here’s how to protect your skin and eyes.

1. Buy blue light screen shields for your phone, computer, and tablet.

2. Change your phone setting to yellow light, usually called nightshift or night mode, depending on which iPhone model you have.

3. Invest in protective eyewear if you spend most of your day sitting in front of your computer.

Make your health a priority in 2020. Entrepreneurs and business owners make up the majority of the world’s workaholics. This year, it’s time to prioritize yourself. Commit to taking regular breaks from your computer for increased mental and physical health. Mornings and afternoons are a great time to hit the gym to set your day up for success or to shift your energy when you’re having a stressful day.
