Emma Stone got a permanent and I’m not referring to a tattoo. The actress hit the Mare Salon in Hollywood recently with good friend and stylist Rachel Goodwin. The two got perms. Yup, you read that right. The classic 80s trend is making a comeback, but not in the way that you expect.
Beauty Trends: Are Perms In Right Now?

These aren’t the kinds of perms you’re used to. The technique, which salons are calling the “digital wave” involves using a diluted version of perm solution to give you easy beach waves instead of crunchy fake-looking curls. This perm will give you that “I woke up like this” look without having to style your hair at all. Even Julianne Hough is a fan.
Love this effortless look. It’s a splurge but worth it if you want worry-free hair on the daily. If you’re looking to get that “digital wave,” be sure to consult your hairstylist beforehand.
