As we come to the end of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I’m grateful that I was able to participate and that Market America was able to lend support to the cause through the sale of 3 special items on SHOP.com (see them here). Donations and events throughout the month of October make an impact to raise awareness about this terrible disease. But the month should really serve as a reminder that we still have so much work to do, not just for a short 31 days, but persistently until this is no longer an issue.
According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. That’s a statistic that we need to eradicate, and quickly. And until there is a cure, I encourage you to get involved and help make strides towards completely ending this awful disease. If you’d like to get involved, read on for ways you can do so in your city or town throughout the whole year. I hope you’ll feel compelled to take action and share this with others so that we can make the absolute biggest impact.
