When it comes to your skin, not all food is created equally. Meaning some foods can actually help the appearance of your skin, while others do damage. I was just skimming through Nicholas Perricone, M.D.’s “The Clear Skin Prescription,” and found a list of “good” and “bad” foods. I was amazed at some of the items on the bad list. I would never imagine corn would be on that list!
Dr. Perricone based his book on an anti-inflammatory diet to help fight acne. He states: “in the case of acne, the foods we eat are just as important as the foods we avoid.” And the foods to avoid are mainly because those foods tend to give us a rapid rise blood sugar, which causes inflammation (aka acne).
A lot of what ou should eat is common sense, but then there are a few items that will surprise you. With that said, here a few items on Dr. Perricone’s “good foods” list and “bad foods” list.
