Fresh Spring Makeup Tips

I know none of us can stop talking about the spring and just how exciting the longer days, sunnier skies and warmer temps have been after such a harsh winter. Since the bitter cold of the polar vortex is now just a distant memory, it’s time to get spring ready, and that means changing up makeup too! Breaking out the light-weight clothes is just one cue to ease up on the heavy makeup and give our skin a fresh-faced glow. Check out these youthful spring makeup tips to get your outfits and your makeup looks on the same page this season.

Try using sheer pinks and plums for lids, like this Motives for La La Shimmer in Naughty Mauve. Line the inside of the eye with a nude pencil first, to keep these colors looking fresh and bold, giving you a wide awake appearance.

Try a lightweight tinted moisturizer for simple, but all-over coverage and accent with a gorgeous cat eye. Liquid liner works best for this look.

Be bold and go for a bright orange, Motives tangerine lip this season! Talk about a fresh spring statement, this color looks great on everyone, no matter your skin tone. Keep the rest of your makeup natural focusing on the sultry lip.

For a dewy look, add a little loose bronzer to your daily moisturizer. Then go totally natural with a nude lip stain and mascara-free eyes. This doesn’t mean that you should skip the eyelash curler. Curling your lashes won’t interfere with the look.

Add some metallic sparkle to eyes with gold shadow like a Motives Liquid Gold Shimmer. Add just a touch of the glimmery shadow to the inner corners of your eyes for a little unexpected pop.
