Happy National Lipstick Day to all the makeup lovers out there! Lipstick is one of those products that can instantly change your look (and often, your mood) in one swipe. In honor of the social media, I’m excited to share this unique take on metallic lipstick by Janine of The Amazing World of J. She used all Motives Cosmetics products to create this simple, two-step lip look that gives major impact. Read on for the details below.
Get the Look: Rich Metallic Lipstick
Before you begin, make sure your lips are smooth and moisturized. I like to use Motives Lip Pumice before applying Motives Hydrating Lip Balm (I carry this with me wherever I go!). Once your lips are smooth and ready, go ahead to step one.
#1. Carefully using the doe foot applicator, apply Motives Maven Mattes in “Rust ‘n’ Roll” along the edges of your lips. Once the outer edges are done, carefully fill in your lips. Allow a moment for your lip color to dry.
#2. Next, apply Motives Eye Illusions in “Rapture” using a fluffy eye shadow brush. This will give you the metallic color you crave.
