Have you been thinking that juicing might be something to incorporate into your diet in 2014? First of all, good for you! Adding a bit of green into your nutritional regimen will go a long way for your health and you can’t go wrong with that. But have you thought about whether or not your juicing program will be organic? Many juice recipes stress the importance of organic fruits and veggies, but for some of us that can be pretty tough. Between budget restrictions and general lack of availability, going completely organic is a fantastic luxury, but not 100% essential. Check out these suggestions for where and when to stress organics in your 2014 juicing program.
Going Organic? Is It A Must When It Comes To Juice?
- Understand that even organic foods can be treated with certain chemicals. Here’s some information about organic farming and gardening.
- When it comes to keeping the enzymes in fruits and veggies intact, you can go with organics – and drink immediately, so that oxidation doesn’t occur. If you choose to go with conventional produce, choose a juicer that prevents oxidation (these are often more expensive).
- Take note of the “dirty dozen,” the fruits and veggies said to contain the most pesticides in conventional form. When possible, try and go organic with this produce.
So what do you think? Even when it’s not possible to go entirely organic, will you still make juicing a mainstay of your 2014?
