How many of you out there are coffee drinkers? Drinking coffee and other caffeinated beverages is so common we often forget that caffeine is actually a drug. It’s a much needed boost in the morning – and sometimes the late afternoon. And, it even offers some health benefits like helping with concentration and memory. On the other hand, a little too much caffeine can cause anxiety, sleeplessness and even a fast heart rate. So why can most of us just not get enough?   2. Light roast coffee contains more caffeine than dark roast (totally true!), darker coffees are roasted longer, extracting more of the caffeine.
  3. Just because it’s called decaf, doesn’t mean it’s caffeine-free.  There are still trace amounts of caffeine in decaffeinated beverages.
