Healthy Habits To Keep In Mind When Working Late
· Set a timer on your phone to get up and go outside for a few breathes of fresh air every hour or so.
· Lay off the coffee. It seems like a good idea to keep yourself energized, but it the end it will just bring you down. Try energizing juices and green tea.
· If you’re spending a late night at the computer – remind yourself to sit up straight. Slouching will make you feel tired.
· Pack some healthy snacks in the morning. Carrot sticks, peanut butter and apples and bananas can go a long way later in the day. If you think there’s a chance you may be working late – plan ahead.
· Can’t get out for some fresh air? Hit the stairs – after five minutes of climbing up and down, you’ll be totally reinvigorated.
· Stay hydrated! Water, water, water – all day long.
· Get up and stretch. Give yourself a two minute stretching break every 15 minutes or so…your body will thank you for it.
· If you have to order take-out, choose something light – like a salad and grilled chicken. Weighing yourself down with healthy foods will just make you want to nap.
